I first came across STORM® when I was the successful bidder for a season's supply for one horse at the silent auction held before the Eventing Riders Association Annual Ball back in 2014.

I am now a convert!  Dr Cath Dunnett of Racing Blue talked us through the product and was also very helpful with Ben's nutrition. We then started our first pot 6 weeks before Ben was due start at his first competition of 2015 (6-8 weeks loading period for a sustained effect is required) and have not looked back since.

STORM® helps fight muscle fatigue by delaying the muscle acidosis (accumulation of acid) which is triggered during the build up of lactic acid in a horse's muscles and this interferes with the way muscles contract and produces energy.  As a result STORM® will help to support athletic performance in key areas such as speed, strength and stamina - ideal for the event horse!  Ben is a warmblood and although athletic looking he does struggle towards the end of a course.  In 2014 he found the hill at Chatsworth quite challenging but in 2015 he completed with a double clear in the CIC*** (now ****) and absolutely "stormed" up that hill!

As you have probably seen we finished our season on a high by completing our first 4* (now 5*) at Burghley - our mission was to get round the cross country and that we did - both Ben and I had a smile on our face most of the way round!  He completed the course full of running and I realised that I could have gone a lot quicker but we were riding into the unknown at the time and the ride he gave me was phenomenal - STORM® definitely aided in this and also in his recovery overnight to pass the trot up with flying colours.

To put your mind at ease STORM® products were rigorously tested for prohibited substances during development and each and every batch produced is tested for specified naturally occurring prohibited substances prior to sale.  STORM® conforms to FEI rules and those for racing including the BHA and others.

The product is used by the New Zealand Event Team and Erik Duvander, High Performance Coach for Equestrian Sport NZ, said "while I believe that thoroughbred horse power and rider bravery are predominant factors, I acknowledge that feeding STORM® contributed to the New Zealand combinations recording six of the fastest eight times in the cross country phase at Burghley 2014."

Please take time to have a look at Racing Blue's website as it takes you through the science of the product.  I am a firm believer that STORM® will assist your horse  to maintain its peak speed or power for longer but you need to decide for yourself.  Take advantage of my 20% discount code (above and below) and give it a try or if you have any questions or queries you can contact Racing Blue direct and they will be only too happy to help.

A big thank you to all those photographers that have allowed me to use their photographs on my new site.  They have recorded my seasons over the years and made me smile (when I am not concentrating on a fence that is)!  The links to their respective websites, if available, can be found below:-
