About Tic Toc Eventing

Abi Boulton is a 29 year old event rider based at the family farm in Staffordshire.  Before she started eventing Abi mainly competed in working hunter pony classes with the BSPS.  Her last years in showing consisted  of bringing on Pebbly Pipe Dream (Chippy) a five year old 14hh pony which she had for a total of four years and in her last year managed to qualify and successfully compete at the Royal International Horse Show Hickstead 2010.  It was there that on their debut they ended on a high, winning the 14hh working hunter pony class and later going WHP champion and then returning on the Sunday to take the Dick Saunders Supreme Champion title - making history by being the first working hunter pony to do so and thereby appearing in a double page spread in the Horse and Hound.

That last year with Chippy she also started eventing him and found that the judges like his dressage and he loved the cross country - it was inevitable then that she would be looking for something to go eventing on as she grew out of him.

Abi is now able to take on new rides and is actively looking for owners, either someone who has a horse that they would like competing or someone who would like to join the journey of the variety of youngsters we have on the yard.  Abi is also able to take on training and holiday liveries - all the horses are treated as individuals and have their work tailored to their needs.

Tic Toc

In 2010 the partnership with Tilston Tic Toc began - Abi was 15 at the time and Ben was 8 and competing at Novice level.  It was apparent from their first full season together in 2011 that  the partnership was something special.  Ben never quite able to contain himself in the dressage but he lived to jump.  Four years later they were competing at their first 5* Event at The Landrover Burghley Horse Trials.  Debuting at just 20 years of age, Abi was the youngest to complete that year and best under 25, the same applied for 2016.

Tic Toc Eventing was born as a result of Abi's amazing journey with Ben.  He is the one that took her from a 14hh pony to riding some amazing cross country tracks and is the reason why she is where she is today.
